Learning Curve

School is pretty tough right now. I am taking 16.5 credits (about 4.5 more than I am used to) and I am doing homework all of the time it seems like or getting ready for a test. Although I do really enjoy most of my construction classes. They are for the most part really interesting to me and I am glad I'm doing something that I enjoy. But sometimes the things that they make us learn are absolutely ridiculous. I don't know if I will every get the hang of this one!

If I could go back to primary

When I was a little whipper snapper with "flaming red hair" and going through primary I absolutely refused to sing any of the primary songs. I can remember my mother and some of the primary teachers keeping me after the primary block to try and get me to sing. It didn't work and it always disappointed my mom. I guess I was just too shy and felt kind of dumb when I sang. On the other hand I saw a clip on our friend Katy's blog of a little kid who for one, looks just like me and two, was the exact opposite of how I was in primary. It made me think about how my primary career could have been. If I could go back and do it all over again I would definitely want to be more like this kid.

The Greatest Place on Earth?

I've only been to Disneyland once when I was about twelve. It was a good experience and at least I can say that I made it to the "Greatest place on Earth". But for all the hype that Disneyland gets, it wasn't the most exciting experience. Even as a twelve year old I remember the rides not being all that exciting and you end up waiting in line more than anything else.
Things would be a lot spicier if they had Disney characters going around the park like this very angry"Pluto".
"The Greatest Place on Earth?" Maybe not, but definitely a lot closer now.

To eat or not to eat?

Imagine eating one of these bad boys on a hot summers day. Well that is exactly what Becca and I were doing as we were walking the beautiful streets of Victoria, B.C. today. We had been craving ice cream from last night but were not able to get some until this afternoon. Becca even splurged and got one of those expensive chocolate covered waffle cones. As we were walking Becca says to me, "gross, I just found a hair in my ice cream." I of coarse asked her if it could have been her own but she said, "no, it's short and grey." She then proceeded to ask me a very profound, soul searching question which I would like to ask anybody who may happen to come across this blog....."should I throw it away or just take it out and forget about it?"

I won't tell you what Becca decided to do (it's kind of gross). Had it been one of your average $0.69 macdonalds ice cream cones I would have said, "yeah, just throw it away", but this was not your ordinary ice cream cone. There is no way I would let a little hair prevent me from enjoying a gourmet ice cream cone. It's just my opinion, but it's true!

The true adventure of Brandon

Here it is! The moment you have all been waiting for. I have finally succumbed to the constant pressure of those around me to join the world of blogging. A year and a half ago I had no idea what a blog even was but over the past 8 months or so I have become an avid reader and commenter on various blogs of people I know. It seemed inevitable so I guess I might as well start my own now.
The reason I chose to title my blog "the true adventures of Brandon" is because of a really funny clip that my brother Todd sent to me a few years ago. To this day I still find myself occasionally singing that theme song. Enjoy!
